Helping you make lives better through Tabletop Roleplaying Games

{name}, I appreciate your time.

In this update:

Before I get to our regular story, could you please do me a little favor? Go to our Kickstarter pre-launch page, and click the "Notify Me on Launch" button.

We're preparing a book of 6 one-shot adventures featuring the characters from our recent Limitless Champions campaign, along with some very cool extras, and we want to make sure nobody misses out. (Plus, there's an extra bonus adventure for early backers!)

The more followers the pre-launch page has, the more Kickstarter's system shares it with people who don't know about it yet.

So if you're interested, click the button! Even if this isn't something you could use, we'd really appreciate your one-click support!

Take me there so I can click it!
Plucky Duck: No! li push the button! No vou push the button! I push the button!

About eleven years ago, I realized I had tinnitus. I was talking to my wife, and I said, “When everything is completely silent, what do you hear?”

She looked at me confused. “Nothing. What do you mean?”

“Wait, you don’t hear a sound like cicadas?”

“No. Why would I hear something if there’s nothing there?”

“Oh, I just figured everyone experienced that.”

That’s what I hear. All the time. It gets louder when I’m stressed or tired. Most of the time, I don’t notice — I’m used to it. My audiologist says that my ears are used to noise, so when it’s not there, they strain so hard for it that they produce a false positive. I know that’s an oversimplification, especially since my hearing aids help a little but don’t eliminate it.

But we live in a world with a lot of noise, whether auditory, visual, or any other sensory experience, and a lot of it is just that — noise. And like tinnitus, a lot of it can come from within ourselves, like intrusive thoughts, self-criticism, and other hostile and destructive ideas that easily find their homes inside our heads. That noise drowns out what we really need to hear, the helpful words that encourage us.

The noise of discouraging lies might tell you that you can’t follow your dreams, that your ideas are useless, that if you try, it’ll blow up in your face. That keeps you from listening to the voices that matter, the voices that speak truth, that you are lovable, capable, and worthwhile.

So let me be your hearing aid today. It might not completely silence the noise, but hear this loud and clear. You have ideas and dreams for a reason. That’s your personal Foresight spell showing you a glimpse of many possible futures, all the many ways you can fulfill your dreams and make lives better.

Noise is just noise.

Person in horned platemail on horse with plate barding holding great sword: Exordium Origins Of Mythos Kickstarter Prelaunch Is Live

Speaking of clicking the prelaunch button…

Our friends at The Eren Chronicles are preparing to release EXORDIUM: Origins of Mythos on Kickstarter.

Epic-level content for all tiers of the 5th edition, this compendium will allow you to follow the paths of Mythic Heroes, forge your own Legacy, gain power beyond measure, and eventually draw the ire of your direct counterpart; a formidable Mythic Nemesis. Stirred into motion by your own deeds and actions, the campaign-long rivalry between you and your Nemesis is bound to escalate in an epic showdown of an unstoppable force versus an immovable object, that will reverberate across the multiverse.

(For me, given that my Mythic Nemesis lives in my head, I'd love to use this to face him on the battlefield!)
